Thanksgiving 2015

1st Thanksgiving:
We did Thanksgiving a week early in St. George so we could watch Kimball in her High School play. She's only a 15 yr old sophomore but she is pretty much amazing and got the lead.  My entire family was able to come-it was so awesome! We were all blown away by Kimball. We were not being bias when we all said to each other afterwards that she was by far the most talented person on stage. Before the play we had a
Thanksgiving dinner. Amber made a delicious dinner and my dad went pie crazy (he made about 6 pies-but none of us were complaining)

2nd Thanksgiving:
On actual Thanksgiving day the boys and I watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV while Robin cooked up a storm for us (my only contribution was some pumpkin pies). To help kill some time before dinner the boys drew some Thanksgiving pictures on construction paper that we used as place mats.

Funny Thanksgiving:
I thought this was hilarious. For homework this night Spencer was suppose to 'finish the picture'. I thought he'd draw a farm or a forest for the Turkey to go in, but instead he drew the turkey in an oven, on fire, with a person sitting at a table waiting to eat it.

Reflections

Spencer won the city wide Reflections in his age category for music. He wrote a song on the piano about imaginary pets he wished he had (I guess the piano lessons I've been giving him are worth the agony and non-stop whining). We didn't tell him he had won so he had a look of pure shock and joy on his face when they announced his name. Unfortunately we didn't get that on camera. Afterwards he said, "I wanted to win so bad. In my brain I was saying 'I hope I win. I hope I win.'" He was especially excited about his medal. "This is the first medal I've ever won!!" While the other categories were being called he was holding it and looking at it. At one point Steve said he saw him kiss it.
