Last days of Kindergarten

We all survived Spencer's first year of school. He rocked it! He met or exceeded all expectations. His favorite things were art, making friends and learning to read.

Steve and I went to help with his last class party, that was a kindergarten wide field day, I did the parachute and Steve did face painting. The line for face painting was so long that Steve had to rush through all of them. But the kids loved it!

He was given the "Whooper Award-for being the best story teller". Hopefully that's a good thing and he didn't just get it because he talked so much. :)

His Teacher Miss Holly

First and last day of school. I can't believe how different he looks!
I got to be a chaperone for his last field trip. We went to the Living Planet Aquarium.

Life and Craziness

Rod being crazy and making weird faces to Uncle David.
Faceswap through snapchat. The funnest and creepiest app ever. Steve and the boys play with this constantly. I don't mind. The boys love it and it's a good bonding thing for them their dad.

Another snapchat: Rod wanted me to see his "Dragon Queen" picture. Oh my...
George Knox was our Guest for breakfast this morning! (Rod came down with cleats and the baseball cap and announced he was George Knox now) If you don't know who George Knox is you need to watch a favorite childhood movie of mine: Angels in the Outfield. Steve got it a couple months ago and Rod has watched it at least 30 times. I forgot how much I loved that movie.
I can't remember why I took this picture...but something cute I want to remember about Rod is what he's eating in this picture. Every day for lunch (for about 6 months now) when I ask him what he wants to eat he says, "Pickle, sandwich, apple, cheese and yogurt".
 Every. Single. Day.
We went to the Provo City Center Temple open house. It was crazy busy! We had reserved tickets but since there was such a demand they decided to just open it up to everyone. We had to wait in a line in the parking garage (pictured below) for about an hour before we got in. Luckily the boys and especially Jeffrey (only a month old at the time) were all great about it. The Temple was so beautiful and I am so grateful I've been able to take my boys to see inside.

Crazy Hat Day at school. Spencer was so excited to wear his Coon Skin hat from Grandpa Woodstock.
Hanging out on a Sunday Night. Love family!
One of our favorite past times is to dance in the kitchen together. Even Steve gets in on the action when he's home.

Spencer came home from school one day and I realized he had put his pants on inside out. I pointed it out and he kinda chuckled and said, "I know I noticed when I got to school". I asked him why he didn't go and fix it and he said he didn't want everyone to see him in his underwear. I told him he could have gone in the bathroom to do it. He said, "...Oh yeah, that would of worked." Boys.

The boys love going to Seven Peaks Fun Center. It is so old and run down but through a little kids eyes, it's just fun. Rod was to terrified to ride this at first but now he begs to go on it.

The only picture we got of Grandma's birthday. (Of course the water bottle was in the way). But it's such a darling picture. We love Grandma so much!
The boys love making Jeffrey laugh.

Also, a Seven Peaks adventure and Spencer was also terrified to do this first. But he conquered his fear and has almost made it to the top several times.
Love me some baby snuggles.
Trip to the temple with Rod to get some wiggles out after General Conference.
Boys love talking to Jeffery after he wakes up in the morning. He's always so happy then.
Family Night Activity at Spencer's school. They fed us pizza and we walked around to different rooms to do activities. Spencer was brave enough to try out Karaoke.

This is my life. If I go more than 24 hours without sweeping, my floor looks like this. What makes it even sadder is that this was my second pile. I already swept and thrown away another huge one.
Teacher appreciation Week. I was room mom for Spencer's class so I was in charge of Miss Holly's door. But the PTA asked for help with some of the other teachers and no one was signing up. I knew the PTA president and VP would be at the school for hours doing all the extras so I took on two more doors (The librarian and the Autism Preschool Teacher). A lot of work but I think they turned out cute.
Took the boys to Classic Fun Center and Skating. Apparently if you go during the day on a school day the place looks like this. It was awesome.
We had dinner with several friends. This is my friend Jennifer Skippers little girl. She is 3 months older but they are the same size. So cute!
Life goal: My parents started a tradition that they collected magnets from all the places they've traveled. Steve and I also started that tradition. We are not even close to this amount (Plus the boys have destroyed a few of our magnets), but one day...
Took the boys to a UVU v BYU baseball game. It was FREEZING but the boys loved it. And it was so cute watching Steve explain the game to Spencer.

Spencer is turning into quite the artist.
This was about 2 minutes after getting his 4 month shots. I love my happy baby.

Jeffrey went to an allergy doctor to talk about his eczema that I can't get rid of on his chest and arms. And talk about food allergies. Spencer has nut allergies there is a 70% chance that he will get allergies as well. So the doctor did a pinprick test on his back to test for nuts and several other things. All of them came back negative so she said I'm good to start introducing peanut butter, eggs and dairy now with his baby food. The hope is that he will build up resistance to it now and won't become allergic later. He cried during the pinprick but immediately after was happy as can be again. He's such a good baby.
Family Night at the Library. They were doing a bunch of activities outside.
One of the activities was bubble soccer. Spencer didn't quite get it. He spent most of his time on his side or upside down.

At the park for play date I was sitting talking with Rod asleep on my lap. I felt/saw something rush past my face and I thought it was a wood chip one of the kids had thrown. Looked down and realized a bird had pooped on Jeffery. He didn't even wake up and I counted myself very lucky it narrowly missed my head.
