Family

Brenna isn't technically family but Brenna and I have worked together at UCCU off and on for 15 years! She decided to move on to bigger and better things. I was so sad to see her go and end that chapter of my life.

Steve teaching Spencer how to tie a tie.
Tim and Paula came to visit.
We got to do a last couples dinner hoorah with Dad and Amy before they went home from their mission.
Jessica and Jennifer came to visit. It was fun to have cousin time with all the cute kids.

Old Friends

Summer was full of visiting with some of my dearest, and oldest friends.
Dinner with my BEHS gals. Melissa, Jen, Maranea and Brenna.
I got to hang out with Maranea and her family at her mom's house in Brigham City. Their next door neighbor Janice Allen stopped by to say hi too. My dad and brother Daniel were her home teachers when we lived in the ward.
Left to right: Janice Allen, Erin (Ricard) Gregory, Linda Ricard, Aimee (Ricard) Wells, Maranea and Me.
Linda rented a water slide blow up and all the kids loved playing together. Ruby (Andrea's little girl) was so sweet with Andrea.

We played a fun game where you sling shot rubber chickens to see how far they can go. At one point Ruby ran up and randomly gave me a big hug. I got it on video and it melted my heart. Even though I only see Maranea and Lyndsi's kids every couple years, because we Marco Polo almost every day the kids all know who Aunt Maranea, Lyndsi, and Katie are. :)

My old neighbor and forever friend Kelsey Donakey was in town so my neighborhood gal pals and I got together for lunch.

Random Summer Fun

Our neighbors did their annual concert in the neighborhood. The kids loves to dance it out in the street.
I love where I live.
Had the Hale kids over and we celebrated National Sunglasses day in style.
Father's Day. Love dad so much and all he does for our family. Each of the kids got him a treat and I got him a plant for his new office that he has a window.
Best part of the day we taking a nap together, which the kids caught on camera.
Boys were messing around with Google Street View and found our old townhouse in American Fork. Cool thing was this picture was taken while we lived there. That's our van!
Steve and the other primary activity leaders took the boys to the local fire and EMS station for a tour.
Jeff as cool as a cucumber at the dentist. No cavities.
Jeffrey went to a birthday party for his friend Bensen at a karate dojo. His mom sent me this picture cracking up about his pose. He definitely the class clown.

Spencer and the deacons went to the Hive for an activity.

Relief Society Retreat

The Relief Society did our second annual Relief Society Retreat. This time we stayed in a little cabin. It was actaully just meant as a gathering/meal area but we used it to sleep in too so we didn't have to build tents.

Extra-curricular Summer

We started the summer with lots of fun extra curricular activities.
Jeffrey did T-ball with our neighbor Bryce Moore as his coach.
For the first two weeks of summer I taught in our city's Youth Art's Festival. I taught a parent/child "Summer Fun" class for 2-4 year olds. Every day was a different theme: beach, bubbles, camping, etc. It was fun and gave me a confidence boost before starting my education classes.
The kids were my guinea pigs and helped me try out different crafts and activities, including making homemade ice cream.
We also did our yearly kids book club. Here's some of the crafts and treats we did for different books, and one of Rod's book clubs.

Rod and Dad went to a day camp for boy's primary activities.
Spencer and Rod had their year end piano recital. Grandma and Grandpa Woodstock were able to come and Grandpa took some sweet pics of them.
