Happy Mother's Day! We celebrated the day with Steve's mom, sister and brother. And my present from Spencer was to try solid food for the first time. It didn't go great...but it was really cute. I love being a mom!

Hello! My name is Katie Woodstock as you probably know. It's on the covor. I like animals but most of all I like monkeys. But I could never have a monkey for a pet. So if I was going to have a house pet I'd have a kitten. But my dad is allergic to them. So I'd have a bird or a fish for a pet. My favorite color is maroon. I have 1 sister and 4 brothers. if your a girl you'd probably hate to be me. And I most enjoy playing on the computers, reading and sleeping. Hope you enjoyed the book.

Now back to present day. What a trip huh? You should see the pictures I drew for them. Even funnier. And I'm pretty sure this is the grade I learned the difference between to and too, your and you're, their and there...I guess it didn't stick much :)

So with all these earthquakes going on and us living on a fault line I thought it might be a good idea to have 72 hour kits ready. So I made them today!


Spencer's-Special thanks to my sis-in-law Krista who gave us the shirt, shoes and baby Tylenol. And to Utah Valley Hospital who gave us those sterile bottles and nipples and the portable formulas.


Steve's-Special thanks to my sis-in-law Jennifer who gave us most of that toiletry stuff.


Mine-Special thanks to my sis Amber who started my 72 hour kit for me 5 years ago when I lived with her. That backpack, the toiletries and the 1st aid kit stuff she gave me.

We spent Easter weekend with Steve's mom Robin and his sister Jessica. We decorated Easter eggs on Saturday and Sunday afternoon we did a little Easter egg hunt. It snowed a couple inches that morning but luckily it melted enough for us to do the hunt.


It was Spencer's first Easter and he had no idea what was going on. But he is holding he basket all my himself!

The eggs were really cold and he didn't really like touching them.

Steve's mom cross-stitched that picture of Jesus-doesn't it look great. We had it framed for her birthday and gave it to her when she came. I thought it was appropriate decor. And Robin helped me make my first batch of deviled eggs (nice name for an Easter food) and FYI we ate mare than the eggs for dinner.

After all the hoopla Steve and Spencer settle down to play some video games.

And the next morning this is me and Spencer watching the morning news while I ate breakfast. He can almost sit by himself-what a big boy!

Random Life

This is a very random post just to warn you. Below are pictures of things we've seen and done for the past few weeks.

First of all, this is the infamous El Bambi Cafe. Some of you may have heard me speak of this place. It has the BEST fries in the world. No condiments needed-just a willing and hungry mouth. But seriously they have the best fries and their hamburgers are pretty delicious as well. Last memorial day weekend Steve and I went down to St. George and on the way home I was in the mood for some homemade hamburger and fries. Well since we weren't home and don't know how to make hamburger and fries even if we were, we decided to stop somewhere. We pulled over in Beaver and fate brought us to this lovely establishment and I have been dreaming about it ever since. Unfortunately since we live 2 hours from Beaver it's not very economical to go there on a whim. And when we are passing we still haven't been able to go because their hours are only from 6am to 2pm and we're never passing at that time. And wow I can't believe I have written this much about a place I ate at once (that's how good it was). So if you ever have a chance check it out.

 We went to St. George last weekend to go to some family events and while we were there my niece Grace kept sneaking off with our camera and taking pictures. I'm not joking when I say she probably took close to 100 while we were there. Some weren't that bad for a 2 yr old. The next two pictures are a couple examples.

This was a picture that I forgot to put in the last post. Surgery today is amazing this was his knee after just 4 days. all he needed was band aids. (and check out the hair line :) )

We got some clothes from Steve's mom that he or his brothers wore when he was a baby. Cool huh?!

While in St. George we slept in Grace's princess bed. One morning Steve and Spencer were hanging out in bed and Grace decided to set up her dolls and animals around Spencer. he almost blends in.

My dad came to visit us a couple weeks ago and I couldn't resist getting a picture of both of them in their hats.
