Spencer's Adventures

I was folding laundry and Spencer was being a little too quiet. When I found him he was in the bathroom and had emptied out my entire package of floss. I picked it all up and and then started doing my hair. Spencer was still holding the floss dispenser and I didn't think he could do anymore harm since it was empty. A minute or 2 later I looked down and both his hands were completely covered in blood. I (as quickly and calmly as possible so I wouldn't freak him out)took him to the sink and started rinsing off both his hands to I could figure out where the cut was. He had cut his thump on the metal part of the floss dispenser that cuts the floss. It was such a clean cut he didn't even notice and it was bleeding like crazy. I kept trying to put bandaids on it but it was bleeding so much it kept soaking through the bandaid. After the 3rd one he got sick of holding still and it was still bleeding like crazy. Luckily I had a sucker in my purse that distracted him long enough for me to tape gauze around his finger.

My Two injured boys. Steve's knee didn't appreciate him playing basketball.

Steve's mom kept his little brother Brian's cowboy hat from when he was a little boy. Spencer absolutely loves it! We say "Where's your cowboy hat?" And he runs off and comes back with it on with this big smile on his face. Also notice the shoe. He loves shoes. He steals everyone's shoes and walks around the house wearing them. If we're ever missing the shoe the first place we look is Spencer's room.

Other cute things about Spencer:
-He recently discovered he can walk backwards
-He loves "playing" xbox with his Dad.
-When his dad is watching sports on TV he thinks it's the xbox still so he'll get the xbox controller and "plays"
-When he sees a picture of Jesus he gets really excited, points and says "Sus-sss"
-He likes to feed himself with a spoon but he turns the spoon upside down on route to his mouth so he can only feed himself sticky stuff-like oatmeal and thick apple sauce.

I thought he kind of looked like a 90's skater kid...so I took a picture.

Sigh

Don't leave a 1-yr-old in his room by himself for more than 30 seconds.

Spencer's first adventure in the snow! He got boots for his birthday and Amber let us borrow her baby snow suit.

He had a hard time walking in the boots and suit. So unless we held on to him he usually ending up falling and couldn't get up. (Does the movie Christmas Story come to mind)
Grandma took him for a walk too. He did a little better walking on the even sidewalk rather than the uneven snow.

This is when we knew he was getting ready to go inside.

Christmas

Pictures of Christmas. We spent it with the Entire Woodstock family in St. George. It was amazing. Here are some pictures of the Holiday. For some reason the pictures loaded in a weird order and I couldn't fix it. Sorry if it's a little random.
Every year the boys get their boxes gear and go at it. Luckily Spencer is not old enough to participate.
Spencer wasn't even scared of Santa! Just curious...

Reading to the boys

Spencer's big Christmas present...a new horse.

Funny

Some funny pictures of Spencer.

This is what he looked like after one of his naps

This is him when he got in our Christmas Tree storage box.

I guess we know what to store him in now :)

Birthday

Spencer's 1st Birthday on Dec. 11. This post is a little late and little out of order but you'll get the jist of it.
