Wildlife museum

Steve found this wildlife museum in St. George a few months back and he took me and Spencer to it. They had this whole building full of all kinds of animals from all over the world. None of them were alive anymore but they were real animals...just stuffed. (It's sounds creepier than it really is) They gave the kids these binoculars to look at all the animals with. Spencer loved them. He didn't get how to use them but loved them nonetheless. Side note: after this adventure one of his favorite things to do at home was get one of his big Lego pieces and go to window using the Lego as pretend binoculars and look at pretend animals that were outside.

Towards the end Spencer started getting scared and didn't want to go near the animals anymore.

It might have been because of animals like these...

But there were some animals that Spencer liked a lot. Like the giraffe and the kangaroo.

Random out of order

Sorry again, this post is out of order but I keep coming across more pics I forgot to include earlier.

Spencer playing in the snow outside our apartment complex. He got a wooden spoon and was digging with it. We had to take it away when he started eating with it though.

Spencer loves Curious George so I couldn't resist getting him this Curious George hoodie when I saw it at the store. So cute!

My 25th birthday! Steve got me the complete Star Wars Saga on bluray and my mom got me an awesome cutco knife. (FYI I am a huge Star Wars nerd/fan. So yes, I really was excited when Steve gave that to me.)

Steve took a photography class last semester. These are a couple samples of some pictures he took:

So Steve and Spencer do this thing where they give each other "the biggest kiss in the world" Which pretty much means they kiss and say "mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" forever or until one or both of them start laughing. It's weird, but cute.

When we go to visit my sister Amber at her house, Spencer always manages to get his clothes dirty or totally soaked or something. So I always end up having to borrow his girl cousin clothes to wear until his other ones dry. This day we put him in pj's. He also found his cousins Barbie helmet and pink and purple horsie to ride.

College Roommate reunion

So this post is a little out of order...but back in January I went up north to Utah County and got together with all my old college roommates.

First Spencer and I stopped at the mall where they had this cool dinosaur playground area. He didn't care very much about the slide and stuff, he just like the cool dinosaur bones.

While I was at the girls night Spencer stayed with Grandma Oliver and Jessica. He loves hanging out with them and their dog Willie.

Before I went to the girls night I went over to my friend, Tara Stephenson's house and she chopped off my hair. Please don't judge the haircut from the picture. We didn't have time to style it so I just let it air dry and tucked it behind my ears.

We had dinner over at Lisa's house. It was extremely scary getting there. Of course this massive snow storm hit on the way. What should have been a 20ish minute drive turned into 40. I was afraid we were going to get stuck at her house but luckily it had stopped snowing and most of the foot of snow had been plowed by the time we left.

Once we got there though it was so much fun. Like I've said before-the mark of a good friendship is that you can go forever without seeing each other but it only takes seconds and it's like no time has past at all. We ate and talked and laughed and reminisced the night away. It was so good to see everyone. We've tried to do it every 6ish months but it's getting harder as we get older and get jobs and husbands and kids and move. But I know we'll all be friends forever.

Sprinkler fun with cousins

My brother Jamen is currently serving in Afghanistan. He left in April and will be back in January. While he is away Krista and the 3 boys moved in with my parents. They only live 10 minutes away from us! They have always lived atleast 3 hours away so we are loving it! Especially Spencer. He is constantly talking about Ander (Aner) and Toren (Towen) and Kai (he acutally says Kai's name perfectly) He loves going over to play with his cousins and always asking if he can go play with them. BFF's and BBF's (best brothers forever)

Went to Logan in February. First thing I did was meet up with 2 of my best friends. Maranea (Ricard) Johnson and Lynsdi (Walker) Frandsen. We went out to eat with Spencer and Lyndsi's little baby, Charlotte, and had a blast. I hadn't seen either of the girls in almost 3 years but it was like no time had pasted at all. That's what I love about good friends you can go years without seeing eachother but it only takes seconds for everything to come back. Love you girls.

After eating with girls we went over to Jace and Scott's place and spent some time with them. They were kind enough to watch Spencer while we went to the Logan Temple. Spencer had so much fun with them he totally zonked out the second we got in the car to head back to our hotel. We were going to take him swimming in the pool but we were all so tired we never made it off our bed. The next day we headed to Saratoga Springs and spent that Saturday and Sunday with Steve's mom and sister (which is always fun)

Christmas 2011 video

Spencer got a Sesame Street MP3 play (well a toddler version anyway) from his Great Grandma and Grandpa Oliver. He loves it! It plays 3 songs and his favorite is Elmo's rock and roll song. He walks around boppin his head to it. At the end of the song Elmo says "Yeah baby!" and without fail Spencer always says "Baby!" right afterwards.

Christmas with the Olivers!

We had a delicious brunch on Christmas Eve day at Tim and Paula's house with all the siblings and cousins.

Grandpa and Grandma gave Spencer some snowman pajamas and an alphabet game.

Steve spending some time with his new niece Sadie.



We spent Christmas morning at Robin's house with David and Jessica. Spencer went straight for the candy in his stocking. (notice the new pj's from Grandma Paula)

I made cinnamon rolls for breakfast (from a tube) I was feeling somewhat domestic but not enough to make them from scratch.

Robin crocheted us some awesome pillows. She had some extra yarn so she also made Steve a beard to keep his face warm.

Grandma Woodstock gives all the grandkids ornaments each year. Spencer liked his so much he immediately went to the tree to put it on.

I surprised Steve with a SUU zip up hoodie. We weren't going to get anything for each other because the camera I took all these pictures with was supposed to be our combined present to each other. But he had been wearing his very thin jacket all winter because he never wanted to wear his heavy winter coat. He loved it and wore it almost everyday the rest of the semester.

Spencer was going through a dinosaur phase so Amber's family (who had us this year) gave us bunch of dinosaurs and a dinosaur book. Spencer loved it and has made us read it to him at least a 100 times.

It's hard to see the cool designs on the brown pillows that Robin made but they are super cute and go perfectly with our living room.
