In an effort to help us keep Thanksgiving in our heart all month long I made a 'thankful poster'. Each day we wrote down one thing we were thankful for. We couldn't repeat anything ourselves or anyone else had written. Towards the end we started to get a little inventive. For example: one of Spencer's last ones was 'hibernation'.
We spent Thanksgiving in Orem with Steve's family. Spencer was so excited about going to Grandmas he talked about it all week and told anyone that would listen to him that he was going to Grandmas for Thanksgiving. Rod and Spencer both loved every minute of it.
Dinner was delicious! The best part was I didn't have to cook it. I am indeed very thankful for Robin.
We also went up to Salt Lake where Tim and Paula treated us to dinner at the Sweet Tomato. At first Spencer was really upset when he heard the name of the restaurant (he doesn't like tomatoes) but when he realized there was other food he had a great time. We tried to go see the lights on temple square after but it took us about 30 minutes just to get to the temple from the freeway exit because there was so much traffic. We took one look at the swarms of people at the square and said never mind. But it was still pretty even just to drive by it.
We are so blessed! We have wonderful and supportive family and friends. We have secure jobs, a good education and a warm home. We have health, happiness, faith and each other.
I love Thanksgiving!
