First snow storm of the year was quite a doozy.
Typical Rod after eating dinner. He rips off his bibs as soon as we put them on so he gets food all over his clothes. Then after he's done eating with his hands he like to play with his hair...sigh.
Above and the 2 pictures below are some of Spencer's recent photography efforts. I kept the bedroom picture since I figured it will be a good memory for the boys later in life. Their first room together. Awww.
Spencer is really into getting his picture taken lately. But he can't just smile he has to pose-over and over and over. Many examples below. (If you can believe it there are about 20 more I didn't include)
(He likes to photobomb too)
Just being silly with mom.
Spencer is obsessed with science lately. We go to the library once a week and he gets to pick 3 books to check out for the week. I seriously had to make up a rule 'only one science book' or else that is all he would get. And as much as I love that he loves science (that was one of my favorite subjects in school) reading about different science experiments isn't extremely fun bedtime reading. Plus he needs story books to nurture his imagination at this age too. He begged me for 'scientist glasses' because he was wearing my sunglasses pretending they were scientist glasses but he "couldn't really see so well". So I got some $3 goggles for him at the store. This is the first time he tried them out.
We went to McDonalds for dinner one night and Spencer met a girl and started playing with her. I don't think he ever knew her name. He just called her "Strong girl" because she helped lift him onto this thing so she must have been really strong in his book.
At Spencer's preschool some students from the Animal Science department at the local university came and showed the kids some animals (snakes, spiders, hedgehog, rabbit). Spencer was so excited he ran to go sit on the big rug to watch. On the way he tripped and fell ear first right onto the corner of the a book shelf. No permanent damage done and his teacher said luckily he only cried for a minute because he was so excited to see the animals. (FYI you can see Spencer holding in his hand an old Popsicle. It's over a year old but I never threw it away. I finally put it to good use by letting Spencer use it to ice his ear. This way he didn't get his hands cold)
For Christmas Spencer got a box full of costumes. Most of the them are super hero costumes. He's been really into the hulk for the past several months. I was going through his clothes and he had a pair of jeans with a big hole in the knee. I cut the bottom of the legs off to see if they would work for shorts for the summer. Spencer said they looks like the Hulk's pants. So I told him to put it in his dress up box and they could be his Hulk costume. So for about a week as soon as he got home from school or storytime at the library or whatever, he would immediately take off his clothes and put on his hulk costume (which is the cutoff shorts and no shirt-so he can show off his hulk muscles). Well the other day he put on what he thought were his hulk paints. But he kept saying they were tight and he couldn't do up the button. I finally took a good look at them and realized they weren't his hulk shorts they were Rod's pants. I don't know if I need to start fattening up Spencer or if he just has chicken legs and no butt but he can almost fit into size 12 month pants. (picture above)
