Christmas Season

Started off the season with a funny mistake. I was so excited to order Christmas cards with our new family pictures on it. So excited in fact, that I pushed order without changing the example name that was in the template. So I got 50 Christmas cards for the “Henry Family” haha. I was going to try and return them but then I thought it was pretty funny and a good representation of how I’m handling life right now. The name was at the very bottom of the cards so for most I just trimmed it off. But for the friends and family that knew the story I left it on for a laugh. Got a card back from of those friends addressed to the Henry family haha.

Ward Christmas Party. I didn’t realize until I looked at the picture later that Jeffrey had his pants on backwards all night. :)

Decorating the Christmas Tree. I love going through all the ornaments full of memories for myself and the kids. I let the kids decorate themselves this year and now that Spencer and Rod are older it actually turned out very nicely.

Temple Date night with Jessica and Chase.

Santa’s Speedway (winter pinewood derby) Rod’s was entitled “Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer.”

Just a cute picture of Spencer and Andrea at the Orthodontist.

Sibling Frienship

Everyone once in a while they get along and when they do it melts my heart.
Spencer and Rod making Spencer’s bed so they can sleep together. Sometime Rod and Spencer will randomly decide they want to share a room. And then after a few weeks they’ll get sick of each other (Or I’ll get sick of them staying up so late talking) and they’ll separate again.

Spencer's 12th Birthday

I can’t believe the young man Spencer is tuning in to. It was family birthday this year, but I did take him and his friends out sledding and for hot chocolate.

November Catch up

I was actually pretty impressed by this.

Playing with the leaves at the park. There are so many huge trees at the library park so many many leaves. Next year I want to bring a rake and go crazy.

My friend Whitney Romney watched the kids while I was a work. This picture was taken about 15 minute before Andrea violently threw up all over her. She came up and started to say she had to go to the bathroom, but half way through the sentence let it all out. Whitney was so shocked she froze and took it all. Her and the blanket were so covered she threw away the blanket and her sweater (another mom there lent her a jacket to wear until she got one). I felt so bad!!
Date with Rod to go bowling. I forgot how much a love bowling.
Daniel and his family moved back to Utah from Texas. I flew out (and met baby Vickie for the first time) and then drive one of their cars home. It was actually really fun. I listened to Marco Polos, audiobooks, podcasts and music. Got junk food, yummy take out and watched whatever I wanted on TV. But is was also very exhausting. The second night I got to the hotel early so I could do homework and watch a movie. But I was so tired I zoned out in front of the TV for an hour and then just went to bed. I also had to visit the chiropractor and massage therapist when I got home. Getting old stinks sometimes.
I also made a stop in Roswell where I went to a Mexican restaurant with fun Roswell themed decor and the spiciest Salsa I have ever had. I also stopped by the Roswell Alien museum. Cause, when in Roswell.
Andrea at her babysitter Christi Millen’s house. Her with Raleigh (another girl she babysits) and Christ’s daughter Chloe.

Thanksgiving 2021

We hosted this year and had a mix of the Woodstocks and the Olivers. Scott, Danielle, Perrin, Dad and Amy came for dinner. Also, Brian, Jessica, Chase, Wells and of course Robin. We fit them all and it was all delicious! Always love having the Oliver side over but it was a special treat to have my family over this time too.

We thought our neighborhood was doing a Turkey Bowl but when Steve and the boys went and no one was there we looked at the invitation again and it was 2 days later. So he just took them for a football lesson.

Family Pictures

I got family pictures back right in time to start one of my favorite months of the year. I love Halloween, but I LOVE Thanksgiving. And I celebrate it all month long. There is something truly powerful about gratitude. “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more.” Melody Beattie.
