Our stake and several surrounding stakes did a traveling tabernacle where they reconstructed what the Tabernacle in Old Testament times might have looked like. Spencer volunteered and help direct visitors and answer questions. This was a picture in the visitor center after that Rod really liked and took a picture of.
I signed Spencer up for the PTSA (parent teacher student association) without him knowing. :) Upside he got to leave school one day and go to the state capital. The parent volunteer said all the students took very distinguished and nice pictures and Spencer took these. Haha He definitely has personality.
Grandma Oliver always has lots of sweets in her house. The kids used to go down and get a little bathroom cup for of candy. She switched to baggies and now they come up with a lot of candy. Even though it's in a baggie now they still call them "cups". "Can I go to grandma's and get a cup?" I had to make a rule that they could only get a cup on the weekends because I felt like it was too much candy everyday. So now I hear all the time, "Is it the weekend?"
Andrea does this funny thing that she dumps out all her candy on the floor, separates them into piles and then eats them while she watches a show or plays a game on the iPad.
Spencer went Ax throwing with Tristan for Tristan's birthday.
I volunteered to head Staff appreciation week at Diamond Fork Middle School. Thank goodness I had an awesome committee that honestly did most of the work. My one contribution besides getting the ball rolling was sending out Google Forms for students and parents to fill out for the faculty and staff and then sending an email to each one with the thank you's. It was hours of work but the teachers and staff loved it. It's always nice to hear you're appreciated.
Andrea finished up her ballet clinic. She was in la-la land half the time but still loved it. They danced to "Teddy Bear Picnic" and they song talks about the teddy bears being tired so during the final performance she pretended to be really tired and nearly falling asleep during all the moves. So funny.
Lyndsi marco'd Maranea and me one day to say Mike had been having stomach pains and wondering if she should take him to the ER. She took him and after a serious events he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. I was completely gutted and so heartbroken for Lyndsi and the kids. It was made slightly better seeing her community and loved ones step in the help. We are praying for the best.
Rod had his 4th grade pioneer day. They dress up as pioneers and do line dancing. It's so cute.
For literacy week the kids could dress up as a book character. Jeffrey dressed up as Dog Man. I completely forgot to take a picture but luckily his amazing teacher Mrs. T. Peterson had my back.

Steve took Rod and Jeffrey to a BYU basketball game.
Ended literacy week by helping hand out donuts for "Books and Buddies" where kids come and read with parents in the morning before school with a donut.

Me and some neighborhood girls had a charcuterie board party. We had everything from vegetables to pizza, chocolate. It was yummy and so fun.
Took Jeffrey to Sponge Bob the musical at the high school for our date. He loved it and watched and listen to the musical for weeks after.

I took Spencer and Rod to BYU men's volleyball game hoping to inspire them to switch sports. They had fun but to no avail.
