2 years!

May 26th was our 2 year anniversay! Man, time flies. We went down to St. George over Memorial Day weekend to celebrate and for some much needed relaxation. My sister Amber and her husband were kind enough let us stay at their house and steal some of their food. (Thank you!) We went to some things we've never been to before. Like the Dinorsaur track museum. There are fossilized dinosaur tracks and they had some replica dinosaur eggs I'm touching below.
All in all it was really fun-I love Steve even more then the day I married him. He's an amazing husband and I wouldn't want to be married to anyone else.

Quick Stop at Fort Cove on our way home.

Hanging out at the Splash pad with Amber and the kids

(Steve took two pictures of me touching the eggs-the first one I'm blinking so I opened my eyes bigger for the second one, which led to the creepy look on my face. The one with Steve was a second picture too. The first one he looked bored so I told him to look excited about being there-and you can see what I got)

Ouch!

My softball game was a lot better this last week. I played catcher and did a decent job with that. I also went up to bat twice and hit the ball both times and made it to base. Both times though we were already at 2 outs and the girl after me struck out-I didn't contribute any points but I wasn't the worse player on the team!
So you're probably wondering about the bruise. Well it was the last inning and a girl was going up to bat (we switch guy-girl-guy-girl for batting and use different bats. So for most of the game I had been going to grab the bat after someone had left it to run for the base so the next person up to bat wouldn't have to waste their time taking it back to the dugout) So like I was saying a girl was going up to bat and I was walking behind her to get the guys bat. She didn't see me walking behind her so when she reached the bat she leaned down and in one swift movement chucked the bat behind her towards the dug out. Unfortuneatly I was right in it's path. It hit my shin so hard and made such a loud noise that everyone in the stands gasped at once. It would have been really funny if I hadn't been in so much pain. I walked it off and told everyone I was fine. We finished the game (and I luckily didn't have to bat again-I don't think I could have run) When we were walking back to the car though, and I was safely out of ear shot I started bawling.
Well I haven't been good about icing it or keeping it elevated so the blood has settled in my heel area. Nothing feels broken so I haven't been to the doctor yet...hopefully it heals soon.

Well, my brother Scott left for basic training this last Tuesday. So Dad, Mom, Daniel and I all went out to dinner at McGraffs Fish House in Salt Lake with Scott to see him off. Which was very nice considering this is only the second time I've had fish since I married Steve (he hates fish). Scott got the lobster and was creeping mom out with it. Dad too kind of, I don't think he liked the fact that it still had eyes. But Scott let me have a bite and it was actually really good. We then walked around the Gateway mall where the restaurant was located. It was a lot of fun and we're really going to miss Scott.

Steve and I went to the batting cages to prepare for softball. Unfortunately-it didn't help.

Soft Ball

Well I joined the company softball team. I thought it would be fun and they said that you don't have to be good, "As long as you have any sort of athletic ability you'll be fine." That's what they said. Well either they were lying or I just have no athletic ability. The first two games were cancelled for rain and the last one should have been. It was sprinkling when we started and pouring by the end. (I got a slight cold because of it). I really contributed to the game though. I played right field and never touched the ball. I also went up to bat twice and struck out both times. (Again never touched the ball). We ended up losing the game. 22 to 4. Yikes.

Steve picked up Bob Dole from the pet store and he was supposed to take pictures of the whole event. But-he forgot. So to make up for it he took him to IHOP.
